9:00 to 10:00 — Digital Imaging: the Greatest Tool in Photography by Dwight Okumoto

Digital capture has brought photography to its highest capability for expressing an artist’s concepts. But, digital has also exposed the worst of photographers. When properly used, digital is the best tool in creating an artist’s thoughts onto print. But, if digital is improperly applied or is abused, it shows the weakness of the creator. The combined talents of a skilled photographer and a seasoned digital artist produces the most rewarding images.

Dwight will be showing examples of how true photographic technique can be confused with digital manipulation. Digital imaging has completely changed the industry, but we must maintain the same high standards and principles as shooting film.
