The HMAUS SIGNAL is published by the Hawaii Macintosh & Apple Users’ Society, Inc., a community based user group in Honolulu, Hawaii, established in 1979.
The organization provides support and information for people who use Apple, Macintosh and related technologies. Membership is open to all who wish to benefit from meeting and sharing information with others with similar interests.

HMAUS is the first and largest Apple and Macintosh user group in Hawaii. Membership is open to all people who wish to share information about computer technology as a tool to enhance lives. Current enrollment stands at 132.

HMAUS Email List: HMAUS-L is for HMAUS and other Hawaii Apple user group announcements, as well as general discussion related to the Macintosh, Apple II, hand held computers, including problems, questions and answers. More information here.
Meetings & Workshops
Brown Bag Fixit Clinic: A monthly help and fixit clinic on the second Thursday evening each month. Members get together to help each other diagnose hardware and software problems.
Hands on Training School (HOTS): A partnership between HMAUS and the Queen Liliuokalani School to present workshops on a variety of applications and other technology. More information here.
MacLearn: Monthly presentations held on the fourth Saturday of each month. This lecture style meeting introduces and demonstrates new software, hardware and resources.
Mac a’hiki: A full day of activities, including: digital image and photo contest, swap meet, presentations, door prizes, workshops and help clinics. Held March or April each year.
Mactoberfest: A full day of activities, including: swap meet, presentations, door prizes, workshops and help clinics. The event also includes the HMAUS annual meeting for the election of directors.Held October each year.
MGM Events: Membership general meetings with interesting programs, opportunity to meet other members. Door prizes. No admission charge. More information here.
